Sugar Creek Outfitters has working ranches consisting of approximately 50% wooded and 50% fields. Fields are planted with corn, soy beans, alfalfa, clover, native grasses, and other food plots vital to whitetail nutrition. The combination of this high protein diet, along with the superior genetics inherent to our region and deer maturity creates true monster bucks.
At Sugar Creek, we provide not only trophy hunting opportunities, but also have the type of accommodations and services our clientele have come to expect. Delightful meals are served in our lodge. Lunches are usually soup and sandwich and dinners are served country style. Additional snacks are
always available in the lodge. Bedrooms feature well appointed beds to unwind in after a long day of hunting. Our baths are clean and well maintained. Scent free soap is stocked in the showers for your convenience. A scent free shower is recommended prior going to the field.
Practice targets are available for your convenience. You are expected to shoot prior to hunting in order to ensure the accuracy of your equipment. Transportation to and from the stand is provided by our guides. Hunter and guide can set up drop off and pick up times accordingly. During your hunt guides will be scouting new locations or making new setups if necessary.
Archery hunting from tree stands is the primary method of hunting at Sugar Creek. Numerous stands are located along field edges and routes to and from bedding areas and staging areas. A limited number of ladder stands are available. In addition to tree stands, Sugar Creek offers some enclosed blinds equipped for scouting, observation, gun and bow hunting. The average height of the tree stands is between 20 and 25 feet, complete with bow rope and hangers.
